I’ve been asked a lot about rebinding Bibles since I started making leather sermon notebooks last year. I wanted to start into this area by doing a repair to a Bible that was given to me by a friend that I preached with in county jails with for over a decade, Evangelist James Trotter who went home to be with the Lord in October of 2022. I was able to remove the original cover, repair the spine of the Bible (I even added a couple extra ribbons), and re-attach the original cover. And now it is no longer falling apart and I am able to use it in the pulpit again. It was a great leaning experience!
Right now, I am repairing another Bible for a friend the same exact way. I am doing it at no cost right now so that I can gain experience. I am also working on a Bible recover for my own library. I’ll post about it when I get it completed.
If you have a Bible that you would like repaired, potentially recovered, please reach out to me and let me talk to you about it. You can shoot me an email on my contact page.
